        Hi, my name is Renee T. I was an NYPD officer who patrolled the streets. I have been trying to get a three-quarter 9/11 pension since 2001, after I was exposed to the toxic fumes at Ground Zero without a mask. I am a retired NYPD Detective that spent time at ground zero. Years after retirement I started with many health issues, the worst being 2 types of cancer. In 2021 I decided to apply for pension reclassification to a disability pension. Immediately after applying, the medical board agreed my illnesses are 911 caused and I was medically approved.
